Wild Noise Gala

for the Bronx Museum of the Arts (BXMA), 2016

Wild Noise: Artwork from The Bronx Museum of the Arts and El Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes represents the most extensive visual arts exchange between Cuba and the United States in more than 50 years. Each Museum has organized a thematic exhibition of key works from their respective permanent collections. The project also features an exchange between Bronx and Havana teens, an artist residency exchange, and a full roster of Cuban-U.S. themed public programs when Wild Noise is hosted at the Bronx Museum. The title of the initiative—Wild Noise—is taken from a Victor Hugo poem and refers to the sublimity and chaos of urban spaces, “the wild noise where infinity begins.”
